Osmosis?(SA1 Post 3)

It's getting harder to remember now. Wish I had a water from NEWater...

Oh yeah, that reminds me, osmosis. What is osmosis you ask? Osmosis is the process of soluble substances passing through a semi-permeable membrane... I think. Well. I did learn much from the experiment I did on the day we were learning about osmosis.

Our teacher taught us an experiment. We took a visking tubing (It's some kind of semi-permeable tube that is used for various reason I will never know...), rinse it with water to get rid of any foreign material that would contaminate the it, fill it with a starch solution, I think... tied it to prevent leaking, and lower it down to a beaker of iodine. In the middle of all of this our teacher showed us the end result, a purple visking tubing was observed. Not much was found in our experiment since the visking tubing's top wasn't tied very well and the starch solution and iodine solution started mixing. Then it happened to other people. Some luck our class has. But anyway, this it the best I could remember so far.
